Lynn has been in our home for a month now. When she came she was shy and didn't interact with the 4 other dogs in the house. She showed signs of being Alpha. Food protective and would stand and stare at what appeared to be at nothing. She didn't know how to sit in your lap and when picked up and put in it, would sit stiff.
In this past week, she has warmed up to human contact, reacts to her name, venturing outside in the yard more on her own, coming to you for petting, has jumped in my lap once and stayed comfortably.
She gets very excited if she thinks she is going for a walk, rides well in the car, has started picking stuffed toys from the toy basket, but doesn't play with them. She loves attention, but not needy for it. Sleeps on a dog bed through the night, but will stay in her kennel as well. She is fully housebroken and will go to the door when she wants to go out. She gets really excited for her dog treats and will sit when asked in order to get it. She doesn't get on furniture very often and seems more content to lay on a dog bed or floor. She still will try to be Alpha, but has never shown interest in fighting for it. If told "no" she will stop. At the moment, she still doesn't show interest in playing with other dogs, but in her defence, mine haven't shown interest in pursing it with her either.
If you are looking for a quiet dog that loves to go for walks, Lynn would be perfect for you.
